Our Annual Santa Ride through Ewing neighborhoods will be Sunday, December 15th.  We look forward to Santa and his friends riding on our fire trucks to help welcome in the holiday season!  You'll be able to track his progress so you can be ready to meet him when we come to your neighborhood!  Visit our dedicated Santa Ride 2024 web page including tracking information!

WHY IS MY CO DETECTOR BEEPING?
A carbon monoxide has different beep patterns  to communicate whether there is an emergency or simply a need to replace the detector or battery  It is important to know the difference between the beeps or chirps. Refer to your alarm's user manual for your specific model as there may be some minor variations between detectors.
  • Carbon Monoxide Detected - multiple beeps and a pause - This means that there is carbon monoxide in the air and you should seek fresh air immediately and call 9-1-1.
  • Low Battery - 1 beep every minute - This means that the detector has low batteries and you should replace them.
  • End-of-Life/Malfunction - usually multiple beeps every minute - This means your alarm has reached the end of its life which is usually 5-7 years, and needs to be replaced with a new carbon monoxide alarm.
